Our Mission
In a recent poll done by the Washington Post, there has been an increase of Americans describing climate change/deforestation as a crisis or a significant problem. This increase of American's realization of climate change/deforestation as a relevant topic illustrates just how important the issues are and how many people it will affect. This topic affects all ranges of life in the present and the future. For example, one impact is the rise in mortality rates in the future because of the increase in temperatures. Furthermore, the severity of natural disasters such as hurricanes, droughts, and fires will lead to economic anxiety. Moreover, the number of people, and animals' habitats that are in danger will cause mass displacement. However, they're many sides, for instance, if scientists are over-dramatizing the predicted events for the future. In any case, climate change and the destruction of national forests is a complex issue that needs to be solved to ensure a brighter future. There are a plethora of solutions surrounding climate change and deforestation. As a company that makes most products out of wood, one can take the beauty of lumber and wood for granted. This is something I do not want to take for granted as viewing the recent disasters in Australia and the loss of natural beauty I can not stand by and watch our forest burn.
I continued to think and do research on something; I could do to try to combat the increasing levels of carbon dioxide and the destruction of our forests. As a company, I want to continue to give back and do more for my community and the world. That is why I'm excited to announce that after every purchase, a portion of your money will go towards planting trees across America. More specially we will plant 5 to 10 trees after every purchase. These trees will not be planted by me in my back yard even though that might be hilarious seeing 100+ trees planted back there. The portion of the money will be donated to the Arbor Day Foundation, which stood out as being the best, and they are one of the largest and longest-running tree planting NGOs, with 47 years of experience. The Arbor Day Foundation will plant native trees in national forests across the globe. To start the year off right, I have already donated a hundred dollars to the foundation. This is just a small impact that I can do to stop the spread of deforestation and climate change. Another. impact I am doing is I will only be being purchasing my lumber from companies that are Forest managed certified and certified in the Sustainable Forestry Initiative. Buying lumber from these companies will make sure I am not contributing to the deforestation of our forest. All these efforts are just small things I can do to ensure I'm trying to make the planet a better place. With this charity I want to reach a goal of donating over 500+ trees by the end of the year, which is no small task, and I will continue to think of the new ways to raise money for this charity. Also, I encourage you guys to join in and donate money to the foundation and try to reduce your emissions and waste in your own lives. Go Green!
Throughout the year I want to keep donating to other charities and give back to my community in different ways. I will keep you guys update through the blog with any more activities and charities I do in the year, and progress on our Arbor day foundation goal.
